Why Is My Screen Completely Black?

A completely black screen is usually caused by display driver issues, loose or faulty cables, hardware problems, or system crashes. It may also occur due to power issues or corrupted system files.

How to Fix It

  1. Restart Your Computer
Restart your system to fix temporary glitches.
  2. Check Power and Connections
Make sure your monitor is turned on and all cables are properly connected.
  3. Adjust Brightness
Increase screen brightness using keyboard controls.
  4. Use Keyboard Shortcut to Refresh Display
Press Ctrl + Shift + Windows Key + B to restart the graphics driver.
  5. Disconnect External Devices
Remove USB devices and restart your PC.
  6. Boot into Safe Mode
Start in Safe Mode to identify driver or software issues.
  7. Update or Reinstall Display Drivers
Open Device Manager and update or reinstall your graphics driver.
  8. Try Another Monitor
Connect to an external display to check if the screen is faulty.
